Harvest of Phönix grapes September 17 2014
We harvested the Phönix grapes on a beautiful late summer day. The harvest was extremely early and 60-70% larger than earlier years, maintaining high quality. We have focused our work this season on keeping the vineyard healthy by using other technics for pruning the vines. This summer´s exceptional weather in Sweden has also added to the positive result.
The Phönix grapes are now in the process of becoming our own sparkling wine.
The Vineyard August 26 2014
“The exceptional summer has made the grapes mature earlier than usual. It is possible that we will harvest the Phoenix-grapes that we use for our sparkling wine as early as mid-September”, says Murat Sofrakis.
In the vineyard we are working with removing leaves on the east side, in order to allow as much sunshine as possible to reach the grapes before it´s time for harvest.

Planing of new vines, April 24 2014
